Branson Day One and Two

After the bumpiest plane ride of my life, I made it to Branson MO for the Future Congress! The shuttle from the airport to the hotel wasn’t any better: nearly 100 degrees with no AC and so bumpy that by the time I arrived at the Radisson Hotel, I felt I as sick as a dog. But there was no time for wallowing in my near regerjetative state pity. It was time to get crackin’.

Not 10 minutes after I had arrived, the conference was under way. I got to sit through Dr. Future’s history lesson and look at who is behind the coming war between Christians and Muslims and whose behind it. The information was startling. I can’t get into all the details, nor do I want to try, but suffice to say, not only was what we were taught in history classes in school biased, but the people, who call themselves Christians who promote the idea of a war do not reflect the Christ I know. It was quite disturbing to find out that the biggest names in the public platform of Christianity are in fact members of the knights of Malta. In other words, beware of the rising ecumenical church.

Then it was Ed Griffins talk on the second look at the federal reserve. This was interesting and depressing at the same time. Ed’s main driving point was that the trillions of dollars of debt we see today is money that “poof” appeared, and is steadily “poof” disappearing. He explained why inflation is not increasing while dent keeps rising. Essentially, the problem is that the rich are choking the middle class out of existence.

Chuck Missler was the final speaker of the evening. I can’t even describe all the amazing things he discussed but the message was clear. “Discover your purpose for Christ” because the world needs it and we are headed into some extraordinary times. His talk was itellectually stimulating as always, but also very moving. You can feel Chucks passion and even some of the pain he has endured in his life. One of the most moving moments was when he broke down in tears as he described how everything he stood for as an American has been taken away from him. And it’s true. Our country of America is a shadow of what it stood for and if me, a 28 year old second generation Jepanese-American can see it, I can’t imagine how Chuck feels. As usual, the content was extremely intellectual and the level of sophistication that this man has and the brilliance of the way he shows Gods amazing design in this world is second to none. It was truly a blessig to see in person a man whose books and mp3s have completely changed my worldview and my knowledge of God.

Then it was the awesome and well anticipated View From the Bunker live and really, it doesn’t get more live than being 15 feet away from the one and only Derek Gilbert. The panel was Jim Fletcher, Cris Putnum, and Chris White. They discussed several things including apologetics and the importance of prophecy as part of evangelizing. They also got into several verses of the bible pertaining to prophecy. I recommend you download the podcast when it comes out.

First break for me was Chris White and a look at Zeigeist and the history of the Jesus myth. Chris as usual did a phenomenal job of demonstrating his point which was that the whole concept of the Jesus myth can only be traced back to the 18th century. In fact, he made the point that historians closer to the time of Jesus would have loved to point out that Jesus never existed, but instead wrote about how his miracles were tricks and slight of hand thus showing that even the enemies of Christianty did not deny his existence.

Next was Gary Stearman of Prophecy in the news. He revealed his story of a UFO encounter of a third kind. This was a personal story that he had never shared publically. He went on to describe how the experience shaped his faith and how the UFO deception is real and they’re not from outer space. This was defy Italy a very intriguing talk and the topic of which I know I have always been interested in.

I then went to the talk of dimensionlessness by David Hitt. This was a very interesting presentation. The first half was brilliant describing te attributes of God from the stand poit of a physicist but doug so by showing less dimensions, or no dimension, rather than multiple dimensions. The problem came when he applied it to biblical principles. What David Hitt tried to do was all well and fine, trying to show that it’s possible that we have a dimensionless existence… to our existence. The issue was that he made it sound like classic calvinism. In fact, I would say it was calvinsm. I know David was not doing this intentionally and he did make a disclaimer saying that he’s not a biblical scholar and thus could have issues. I believe some refining needs to be done with the application of the implications with dimensionlessness. But again, the way he was able to describe Gods unique qualities were done very well.

The next talk I saw was Ed Griffin again with a look at the UN. Any doubts I had that the UN is evil was eliminated with this talk. It is very clear that everything the UN says they stand for, the opposite is true. Their own publications were the proof. Most people buy the propaganda and blindly support a group that is takg away freedoms and rights of the people of the earth. Animal Farm by Orwell was his prime analogy to what the UN did and is doing now.

Chris Pinto was next. This was a deeper look at the work he is known for with the Hidden Faih of our Founding Fathers. It was interesting to hear the gasps from the folks who had not heard this material. The United States government were certainly not founded in biblical Christianity. Our political system today stands on the shoulders of these founding fathers.

Randall Price was the final speaker and it was just amazing. After going through some history of the search for Noah’s Ark, the biblical implications and really, worldview implications Price gave us information that was fresh and new, like “we learned this yesterday” new. After using satellite imaging technology, Price has uncovered on the top of mount Ararat, an anomaly under 30 to 100 feet of snow. The shape of the structure eerily resembles Noah’s Ark. Him and his team are going on the excavation of a lifetime of which may be the greatest discovery in history. But this would not be for any personal gain, but to the glory of God. We must pray for him and his teams safety.

Finally, another episode of a View From the Bunker. This time it was Ron Skiba, Jeff Patty, and a late arriving Russ Dizdar. I had the brilliant idea of being in the chat room while sitting in the audience but I basically turned into ” live room question relay man” for the people in the audience. What happened was, people began passing notes to me with questions on it for me to type in the chat room so that Derek could ask them to the guests. It worked out well. The conversations were fascinating stemming from nephilim and fallen angels to the Antichrist and spiritual warfare. It was the kind of episode that makes PID radio and the work of Derek Gilbert so great.

It’s been an honor to shake hands with the likes of Russ Dizdar, Tom Dunn, Derek Gilbert, Chris White, Rob Skiba, Dr. Future, and meet with tons of folks who are awake, aware and alive in Christ. But for now I need to get some sleep to finish off the last day of the conference. If I wasn’t posting this from my iPhone at 3 am Branson time, I would do links to each of the speakers but to make it easy, just visit futurecongress.com for info on any of the folks I mentioned. Good night.

But I’m sitting in Chris Whites second debunking of zeitgeist. So gotta go for now and I will post again tomorrow.
